Hair Extension
After Care
Brushing
To help maintain the health of the hair extensions while installed, it is encouraged to brush your hair at least 3 times a day. This will help reduce the amount of tangling, as well as maintain a smooth finish. When brushing your extensions, hold the hair by the roots and gently brush by starting from the bottom and working your way up.
Washing
Wash your hair extensions regularly and thoroughly. I encourage a minimum of 2 washes a week with a sulphate free and paraben-free shampoo which will gently remove any build up.
When shampooing your weft extensions, separate and clip (or hold) each row to ensure that you can properly wash the scalp.
Work the shampoo through your entire head. Once the scalp is lathered, gently work the shampoo into the mids of the hair extensions in a downwards rubbing motion.
Make sure to never bring the ends of the hair to the root when washing. Thoroughly rinse your scalp and in between the rows before finishing off with a hydrating conditioner or mask.
Drying
Once washed and conditioned, avoid flipping your head over and wrap it in a towel.
Use a microfibre towel to remove excess water by gently scrunching the hair.
use a hydrating detangler and wet brush (without balls) to brush out the ends of the hair
once detangled, apply your preferred styling products and begin to blow dry using only your hands
thoroughly blow dry focusing on the roots. Once the extesnions are 90% dried overall, use a paddle brush or round brush to smooth out the hair.
If you are a wash and go person, repeat the above instructions only, focus on blow drying the roots of the extension. This will avoid issues in the future.
General Care
Products
To maintain the quality of the hair extensions, try not to use too many products when styling. The best option would be a multi-use product that includes a leave-in conditioner, heat protectant, detangler, and a serum for the ends to keep hydration.
Texture spray, dry shampoo, and hair spray can be used sometimes if needed.
The extensions will always need moisture and hydration, so it is important to avoid using products labeled as “rejuvenating,” “repairing,” or others that include protein.
The purpose of these products is to build strength in the hair, which will leave your extensions feeling extremely dry and eventually cause breakage.

Water
Avoid both chlorinated, salt water and hard water. The minerals in the water can cause serious discolouration (hair turning peach/orange), matting and tangling to your hair extensions.
If you do choose to swim with your hair extensions, please know that you are doing so at your own risk. We are not responsible for a refund or replacement of any kind.
salt water can cause the hair extesnions to become dry and strip the hair of its colour.
cholrinated water can change the hair colour from green to pink to orange and sometimes red.
hard water
Sunscreens
Avoid sunscreens that contain avobenzone, as this will cause discolouration to the hair. Mineral sunscreens are best because they form a physical barrier against ultraviolet radiation with mineral ingredients like titanium dioxide or zinc oxide.

Your maintenance are booked every 5-7 weeks or 6-8 weeks. Pre book all maintenance services to avoid booking issues.
